Over-promise, under-deliver
on September 3, 2009 | Business | management, service as marketing, suckiness
Funny how some companies apply the proverb “under promise, over deliver” completely backward.
Sales people make dubious promises to clients about some wonderfull technology that doesn’t exist. R&D has to step up, but under impossible constraints and schedule. The clients are not happy with what they see.
And everyone ends up really bummed.
Quick! Let’s start the cycle again!

I totally agree with you! Nowadays, companies prefer to deliver their new products fast than with a satisfactory level of quality.
I hope that will change for the next couples years when we will hit rock bottom.
